A Little More Progress on the New House

How I Spent My Summer Vacation:
We are still working towards getting the house ready to move in to. This room was painted a very dark Dijon Mustard color and the trim was the color of the same mustard after it had gone bad in the fridge. The worst part is that awful ceiling. But we are making headway on changing the walls. One thing I can say about the previous owners, they were not afraid of a little color!
This is just primer. Claire wants her bedroom to be purple so we picked out a very soft lavender and it will be the new wall color with bright, white, glossy trim and a nice white ceiling.

I went ahead and painted the inside of her closet just so we could preview the color. I think it is appropriate for an 11 year old girl.

Christopher’s room was already this UPS brown. He claims he likes it, so I just painted the trim. It may get changed someday down the road, but for now, it’s one thing I don’t have to worry about.

  1. Wow! It was just yesterday afternoon that nothing but the closet had been done in Claire's room. I guess that day of sewing did you a world of good! 8:-)
