The Last Day of Summer

Today is Labor Day, the "official" last day of summer. School started up a couple of weeks ago, but now it's really time to get back to work.
I'm hitting the road again and it kicks off tomorrow morning when I drive out to Stillwater to give two presentations to the Cimarron Valley Quilt Guild. They have a large guild and meet both in the morning and in the evening. I will be speaking to both groups. I will return Tuesday night but my husband leaves for a business trip Wednesday morning and won't return until Friday night, then I leave again Saturday morning! We won't be seeing much of each other, just playing tag team with the kids.
I have out of town obligations almost every week from now until Thanksgiving. I get a little break between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it picks back up again in January.
Business is picking up too. It was slow this summer but I think people are getting excited about starting new projects again. This is a good thing. Let's all keep creating those quilts! 🙂
