Minco Honey Festival and Quilt Show

I took this picture of one of the quilts on display. I thought it was fitting for a Honey Festival. Most of the quilts at this annual show are old, and this one was no exception.
Every year on the first Saturday in December, the little town of Minco has their annual Honey Festival. They have a small quilt show at the Senior Center, samples of cheese and baked goods at the Police Station, tours and samples at the Honey Plant, and an Arts and Crafts show at the Armory.
For those of you who live in the area, mark your calendars for next year. It will be held Saturday, December 5th, 2009.
Below are a few more of the quilts that were on display over the weekend.
The description for this last quilt said it dated back to the 1880’s.
