Another One Down

My family was mighty grateful this morning that I’m a quilter. It was 18° this morning and the furnace seized up at 4:00 a.m. brrrrrrr.

UPDATE: I’m pleased to report that my husband managed to fix the furnace. A screw that holds the driveshaft for the squirrel cage came out. What a racket that made! He originally thought the bearings had burned up, but it turned out to be a relatively easy fix and we were only without heat for about 18 hours.

Here is my finished squirrel quilt. I have fluffed his tail and there are oak leaves quilted into the white areas and in the outer border. If you double click on the photo, you can see the details better.
